Laura Cox, NP
Laura is a certified family nurse practitioner with over 10 years of nursing experience. Originally from Greeley, Colorado, Laura earned her bachelor of science in nursing (BSN) at West Texas A&M University, where she played volleyball on scholarship, served as vice president of her nursing class, and graduated cum laude. Laura completed her master’s degree in nursing (MSN) at Texas Tech University and joined Lung & Sleep Specialists of North Texas in 2015.
Prior to joining Lung & Sleep Specialists of North Texas, Laura spent most of her time working in critical care and surgical services. Her true passion was in the ICU, so she was very excited to join our practice to help care for complex pulmonary and critical care patients.
Laura is also deeply passionate about sleep medicine. To stay at the forefront of sleep medicine research, she regularly attends sleep medicine conferences and workshops. Laura also manages and directs the operations of the allergy clinic.
As a nurse practitioner, Laura is an active member of the Texas Nurse Practitioner organization and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
Outside the office, Laura’s interests include genealogy, U.S. history (especially World War II), spending time with her husband and two beautiful daughters, being outdoors, and helping coach sports with her two active daughters.
